HI!

I've been tasked with designing
a light dimmer for a 60W a.c driven
lamp, which must also be in flash mode
when the system senses night.

Question is, how do i calculate the
70% brightness required? And then
how can i apply that to the selection
of the dimmer circuit parameters.

Detailed info can be found at the above.
I would appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Your link is just the filesharing site, no obvious indication of your problem.
Just post the problem here, or is this just some promotional spam?

Hi Jim,
I think noobies cannot attach schematics here until they are "passed" by a moderator to avoid SPAM. So the OP attached his schematic over at RapidShare who takes all day to wake up and is full of ads.

Rapidshare? Did someone post a dirty movie?

Soulfire - get a lightmeter, there's really no other way to do it. You are working with a filament resistance and light spectrum that change at lower temperature. Crank down the juice until you get 70% of what it is at spec. Use this empirical data to set the power.
