hey guys,
i made the usual booster circuit given in the lm2577 datasheet and used the formulas given there as well. these were the values of the components:
still no success. i am guessing there is a problem with either the inductor or the ic. i am using the resistor type of inductor and i suspect it doesn't support the 52KHz frequency necessary for lm2577.
apart from that i have no general idea as to why the circuit is malfunctioning.
please help! i have been stuck on this for a week now!
its 0.18A. i was told the inductor supports 0.5A, which fits my calculation for inductor current.
also none of the inductors given in the datasheet are available in my city (unless ordered online, for which they charge almost triple the amount), any idea how to fabricate an inductor?

ok, seems i'll have to replace the inductor, for that i'll have to fabricate one.
this will be really interesting.
anyone has any idea on how to fabricate one?
