BDC motors, which one is better

I am working on electric scooter, and i thought of using this motor: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...SK3_6374_149kv_Brushless_Outrunner_Motor.html

On 22.2V, and at 70A it should give around 1.5kW

On the other hand, i can buy this motor from friend on the other forum: http://www.leaderhobby.com/product.asp?ID=9394001224339

I dont see the point, why is second one smaller and lighter and have the same power as the first one? Also the price is the same for me, so only question that i have is that what should i buy? Which one do you think is better and why?
 
The second choice has a higher Kv. Read about Kv here: **broken link removed** Read the 4th paragraph.

Yep i forgot to say about that. I know that the first one has 149kv, and the odther one 249kv. That only means that i have to use higher reduction ratio if i use second one. But do i have more torque too with the second one, or something else?
 
Electric vehicle traction drive prefers a motor with low RPM and high torque.

I would forget the "power" spec unless you are drag racing and need max acceleration, or a flying vehicle that runs at a fixed RPM in the middle of the powerband.

Electric vehicles need to have good performance at low RPMs and gentle reliable acceleration from zero speed to cruising speed.

You are probably better off with a DC series motor, not a little 3 phase peak-power tuned BLDC airplane motor.

I decided to buy brushless motor because it is more efficient, lighter etc. If i would have a problem with any of those powerful motors, ill put hall sensors into them and i will buy sensored/sensorless electric speed controler, so that wouldnt be a problem. Maybe in real vehicles you need high torque at low speed, but with electro scooter i am building, u can also start with foot and problem solved (if not using hall sensors) :)
