what would be the simplest way to charge a 6v lead acid battery? connect it direct to a 6 volt supply with diodes to prevent the power flowin outta the battery and a resistor to limit charge rate? (if so, what value?)

Hi Andrew,
A 6 Volt lead acid battery needs 6.8 Volts to be fully charged, which means it cannot be charged with 6 Volts. The value of a resistor depends on the voltage source and the rating (Ah) of the battery.
