Bad SMD Cap Test

I am a novice, my method is to use a multimeter to measure the resistance value, the case of a short circuit is 0, in the case of a break is infinity.

Yes, that is a good way to do it when your testing individual components but if your working on a circuit where a large portion of things are shorted then voltage injection will usually help find or narrow down the bad part with out the need of removing/checking everything one by one.
