I have both RIGOL DS1052E & DG1022 and work very fine w/o any problems. It's a perfect kitt for any hobbyist. Both have 3 years warranty. I pay for around 710 euro.

Nice bundle but not for me because i live in Romania - Europe. This price is for USA w/o shipping or other taxes. Anyway my RIGOL DS1052E & DG1022 is enough for me. For moment i want to learn many things about the new tech. of DSO & DDS.

Yah the add-on cost of eastern European socialism. Sorry Luca! It totally sucks to have to endure all that overpriced reality. But I think in time this terrible situation will have to give... Your Rigol gear is totally awesome!

Hi All,

Just bringing up this old thread as its about the only one I have found mentioning anything about the little old Owon 5022S.

Don't laugh, but have just aquired one to give me a simple scope that I can use on the desktop as the old CRO is just too heavy and bulky to keep dragging in and out.
As can be seen from this pic of the guy I got it from, its working well, and its in like new condition, no scratches or wear marks etc, even has the original soft carry case and CD ; even the PC screen capture program works with W10 !

Three questions you might be able to help with, can anyone say how old it is ? its has the coloured buttons and has software V5.1.
I know V6 firmware has FFT but does it have any other extra functions ?
I saw the old mention about Owon in Preston doing a firmware upgrade for £25, but wondered if it was possible for the users to do a firmware upgrade, though have not seen any downloads for any versions of the firmware ?
