Anyone used Amtels ATA5275/ATA5283 pair?

Hi,

I was wondering what is the range of this (max distance between the two). Also, if you have any suggestions on the coils, that would be very helpful as well. It seems this is not your standard RF, but rather some magnetic induction type of transmission, right?
