I worried I may have phrased that wrong as I did some chores this morning, and apparently I was right. What I meant was a beautiful, talented woman is all that matters. She is both a treasure and a resource. I was definitely not criticizing asking from where she came. Please accept my apology.

My parents were barely first generation Americans, and I am accustomed to talking about our heritage. I think it is great for countries to be open to others. Most Americans I have met are proud of their heritage.

The only time I was even slightly offended by a question like that was when I visited a classmate's family over a holiday. I was from LA, California; he was from an established Connecticut family, as in DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). As I walked in the door, his mom greeted me by asking where my father was from and what did he do. I felt something like having my pedigree checked to be sure I was socially acceptable.

I lived in Izmir Turkey for 4 years, lots of pretty gals come from there. You should ask her about Dona Kabob sandwiches, those things were yummy. If you ever get a chance, you and wife should go to Pamukale hot springs in Turkey, it is like out of this world. Great resort, you would love it.

All that white stuff is mineral deposits not snow. Amazing to see.

Yep. That one is called the 'Dreamer' and I think its for sale now for around $18 - 20 million!

In video in the last link some place there is a hand wearing a white watch demonstrating drawers in the kitchen. Thats her!

There are also some fancy looking drinks in glasses on a table towards the end of the video . She made them out of window cleaner and bits of fruit! (They were just for show in the photos.)

TCMtech - I looked back at the picture in the link from jpanhalt and thought Mediteranean area, but I was thinking more Spain than Turkey.
I think that Mrs TCMtech needs to find a new specialisation, surely there cannot be much of a market in luxury yachts in North Dakota!

Actually she has been applying at the local design and construction firms being she has done a lot of high end luxury home and business related design work as well but so far we have gotten the distinct impression her portfolio and references scare the crap out of the local wannabe designers and architects.

A's hire A's and B's hire C's and most of the local businesses are running with D+ people in charge who don't have a clue about what real design and interior architect work is.

We don't even have a licensed interior architect in this part of the country.

Yes I was there on business for three weeks.
The weather was generally ok, if you can call hot and humid OK.
It did rain a few times, came down in buckets, but it did not last very long and then dried up again.

Now back home again, wow isn't it quiet!
No aircon noise.
No aircraft noise, a Boeing 777 is quite noisy for some reason, even up front in the comfy seats.

A rather simple attempt at preventing vermin from getting in I'd image there's a modest number of birds that would be either brave or stupid enough to check out something that looks like a hole in a tree stump.

As far as noises we have tons, our hours was built when nails were still commonly used and between the wind and heating effects it's always ticking or grunting a little here or there.

As rule #1 of being married states, The wife is always right.

Yes I know some of that stuff looks more like art but then the super wealthy are not known for having good taste in whats visually correct or appealing to the masses.

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks its hard to read in places as well either.
She is still working on here site a little here and there so it will probably get updates again at some point.

I have been thinking of doing some advertising around the area now that she is 100% legal to do work now. I just am not sure about how to go about it as of yet.

Thats how I envision things as well but its not mine to play with.

In a way a lot of it comes down to the difference in culture. How she learned things over there VS the American stereotypical view of that type of work is rather different.
