William At MyBlueRoom New Member May 12, 2006 #1 I'd like to find a suitable optoisolator to replace the 2n2222 transistor in this schematic. It has to pass 120kHz (X10) a 6N135 might work not sure how to bias the base base on the output transistor. Attachments 2n2222.gif 10.8 KB · Views: 471

Why do you want to do this?, the 0.1uF already isolates it from the mains.

William At MyBlueRoom New Member May 13, 2006 #3 I wanted to isolate the circuit, turns out to be cheaper to buy a TW523 from X10. It's a TTL to X10 adapter with optoisolation and generates the 120KHz on its own. I've modified my Ladybug schematic (rev K) to accomodate it.
