Hi All:
I have used Oshonsoft, MPlab and Proteus sims.

I am considering Swordfish Basic or Mikrobasic. I have a basic language and asm background.

Which would the recommended choice and why?

Is there a simulator in these apps?

Swordfish can be sim in MPlab just import the COF file and the HEX Also can it can Proteus to with a plugin.

Swordfish is great for 18F chips only.

I don't really like mikrobasic there C is great but the basic dosn't work for me

Picbasic Pro is great I do use it alot.

I have found miSim to be a great IDE, it also has a number of plugins like the hd44780 lcd. It's my understanding that it only supports the 16F series though.. It can be found at
