adding smart card to project

HI. I'm doing a project on parking. I want to build a device containing a smart card that a motorist can use to communicate with a parking meter and get parking time. My problem is to find a small smart card reader circuit that i can hook up to the circuitry for communication i've developed.The smart card should store just a user id and a pin and parking time left.
Need a response URGENTLY!!!!
