hi...

This doubt is bothering a lot..

In a simple RC circuit with AC supply, does the inductor voltage leads the supply voltage????

Please note that I am not talking about the current and voltage relation of the circuit.

I want the relation between supply voltage and inductor voltage...

If possible provide me the waveforms.

Thanks

From basics, VL = dIlL / dt (the voltage accross an inductor, VL, = the RATE of change of the current, dIL / dt, through it). There cannot be a sudden change in current through an inductor as this would produce an infinite voltage. The voltage must build up over time. With no resistance, this voltage build up lags the current by 90 degrees.
