i have a seminar in my collage about USART 8251A.
i dont have any idea about its recent developments and its now a days applications.
please give me some info. or links that can help me.

Isn't it an antique, and no recent developments?.
i know intel had devloped it...
bt i wanted to know if any further research is done on it or not....
and i kw that it is used for transmitting and receiving purposes bt i dont know where it is used practically in regular life...
i searched in google and wikipedia bt i cant find any results....
so if u can give me some links for that than i will be so thankful to you.

Not sure, but I believe most micro computers like the original pc used this for its serial ports. You should be able to find descriptions of the original circuits on the web.
