Hi guys,

Just want to use 2 of 7818 regulator chips in parallel to achieve 1.2A for my amplifier. It is possible doing so but I want to be sure that there is not any flaw to do that specially for an amplifier?

I wanted to use LM317 instead but I think 7818 is better for an amplifier though I am not sure.

Just use a single LM7818, the datasheet says that most won't current limit until 2.2A and your amplifier won't draw 1.2A continously. Save yourself the fuss and bother by using a singly LM7818.
