Can anyone tell me if there is a C compiler or IDE for the 68HC12. In school we programmed them in assembly language and I wanted to learn to program them in C. We used MiniIDE for programming them in assembly but I don't think you can use it C.
There are certainly IDE/C Compilers for the 68HC12 out there. A more interesting and difficult question concerns the existence of a low cost or even free IDE/C Compiler.
I have no first hand experience with this processor, but I do remember working with a compiler from this company for the 6805. My recollection was that I was just whelmed. I was not overwhelmed or underwhelmed.
Is there a freeware compiler out there? It's possible. If you know a Freescale FAE out there he or she might have some leads for you. Try the Freescale website.
