using the logical high ouput of a regular chip, what would be the best way to light 30 led's connected in series??

you can use a darlington transistor or 2 transistors to drive the leds. i assume that you have a small voltage power suply for the electronics and a highter voltage power suply(40-50 volts) for the 20 leds in series?
