    Pass transistor voltage handling question

    There is probably one more preceding stage tied to the high voltage. You would need to be careful that the load is low during your troubleshooting to stay within the SOA. I think you might be better off with an over voltage disconnect circuit.

    I would add like a 2k resistor to the negative input of the op amp. Then a small cap from the op amp output to the negative input. I used spice to get a damped response to a step input.

    I did the same at about the same time when the wife's mom got sick. Had to rent a hotel room because of all the people coming to look at the house. Sold to a nice lady in 3 days for full price cash. Best weather in the world. I loved it. Traffic and all. Our kids were grown so I don't know about...

    Maybe I spend to much time here. It is usually way to easy to simulate someones project to see why it doesn't work. I can't imagine building them all. Just seems silly to have this nice tool in the box and not use it. :banghead: Edit: But I could eat raw meat - just not as tasty to me.:)
