    long range fm transmitter

I just came on here to ask for advice on a long range rf transmitter, although my intent is different to the original poster, I didn't think it made sense for me to make a new thread. All I want to do is be able to transmit simple data 2km+ away to a matching receiver. I've been looking at...

    Bad LED

funny you bring this up, ive been planning on building some led lightning and the way id be wiring them i would not have to use a buck boost and i would keep my efficiency as high as possible if i wired them all in series, but then if one of them burns out i would have to test every one...

Manual USB Battery Charger for NIMH aa aaa Batteries

way to insult the only guy trying to help you. why dont you just make a dc-dc converter that does 5V @ 270mA? you could also use a attiny and a transistor to set a timer. if your knowledge of electronics is good enough.

    ~150V DC Regulator?

It doesn't matter, the load would be a bunch of LEDs and a possibly a micro controller or other simple things.

    ~150V DC Regulator?

Any links or suggestions? The only bucks I've "designed" are using national semiconductors web bench, and they don't seem to have a solution for what I need.

    ~150V DC Regulator?

    150V input , 32V ouput at 1Amp.

    ~150V DC Regulator?

 im trying to take 150VDC down to something around 40VDC.

    ~150V DC Regulator?

is there such thing as a regulator that can handle around 150V DC? preferably a buck converter, not something that just turns the extra energy into heat. ive been searching, but all the ones im finding are 80V input max.

    Filtering Capacitor for AC

it all works out now :D i added 30 leds in series as the load.

    Filtering Capacitor for AC

ya i know, i dont get why the oscilloscope is reading it wrong.

    Filtering Capacitor for AC

Doing this in multisim, using a rectifier and a 1uF cap, the oscilloscope shows the voltage "smoothed" to 147-150, but a virtual probe shows it still spiking between 3V-150....

    Filtering Capacitor for AC

interesting. last week I was checking the voltages of our vacuum which has some issues, and i measured the power coming in and it was 111VAC. Our house is pretty far out, partially in the woods, and its an old house.

    Filtering Capacitor for AC

im getting 110VAC and google says that all of canada is 110VAC. where do you live?
