Hello all.
i would like to record some sound files(eg:wav format) on to some ic.and playback the files as controlled by a pic micro..

Pls help me in finding suitable (cheap) solution(s) .
Thanks in advance.

Check the October 2005 issue of EPE magazine, it uses a PIC to playback a 6 second WAV from an EEPROM.

Or You can choose an ISD "ChipCorder" IC, it available from 16- 60sec version. Also have address pins, so controllable from PIC.
The original manufacturer International Storage Devices, today formerly Winbond. ISD1016 the 16sec version.
