Is a "hoodie" a new kind of "hippy"?

"Hoodie" is a section of current teenagers, who wear thin jackets with hoods on them - some of them wear the hoods over their heads all the time. This has caused great concern, with the UK government trying to pass a law declaring them illegal - on the grounds that they prevent the kids being recognisable on CCTV recordings!.

Seriously, more and more transistor amps on the market sound just as good as big, heavy and expensive tube amps. I suspect tube amps will completely disappear in a very near future.

Just the opposite appears to be true, they seem to getting more and more popular, it seems fashionable to play through a valve amplifier for many guitarists, and even bass players.
