hi,

i am prabhu. i am a biomedical engineer.
i am working on an anesthetic ventilator which has to be controlled by the computer.
i am doing the software on labview and my hardware controller is pic16f84.
i am setting the baud rate at 9600 in the pc , with 8 data bits, 1 stop but and no parity.
can u please tell how to set the baud rate setting in the pic16f84. i am doing the programming in the assembly level language and using mpasm as my compiler. i presume that i have to send the data to the interrupt pin RB0.
please help me.

You can use any pin you want, have a look at my RS232 tutorial, this gives 9600 from a 4MHz crystal - to change the baud rate you need to change the program delays.
