On the radio earlier today, the song "Message in a bottle" was playing.
It reminded me of when I sent a message in a bottle and got a reply (in the post, not in a bottle!).
I was on a ferry returning from the Hook of Holland to Harwich in England, I wrote my name and address on a piece of paper, put it in the bottle, closed the top and dropped it over the side of the boat.
Several months later I received a reply from someone in Skagen on the northern tip of Denmark.
I good result I thought, I was 14/15 years old at the time, this was in the mid 60's.
So, has anyone else here on ETO had a result from a message in a bottle?
