Wireless with Pics (C-Code?)

I'm wanting to do wireless encoding/decoding with PIC microcontrollers. I did some searching, without much luck. Some example C code would be very helpful, if anyone knows of any. I know how to set up all of my hardware and what nots, but I am unsure how to code it exactly.

Do I just output a 1 to the transmitter, then pause a uS, then a 0, and so on for whatever code sequence I am sending, or is it much more complicated?

To some degree, but the main problem is it's AC coupled.
