Hi,
I'd like to build the following project:
Laptop <--Serial--> PIC<--Wireless--> PIC<--I2C--> LCD

I got the LCD, and am searching for a PIC which includes a transciever (indoor range, perhaps Zigbee?) for beginners.

I'd like to get a PIC and its SW burning tool of course.

Of course, it'd be great if all I'll need to do is to plug in the power for its operation, i.e. it should have internally all the required circuity (as Crystal / caps / etc).

Could you recommend on such low-cost PIC system for a beginner?

Thank you very much!

If your going to the extent of an i2c lcd then you might as well use a i2c radio module they are popular at the moment.

For a development package I'd reccomend pickit2 or 3.
