wind driven mobile charger

i am doing a project on this topic,we used a 12V genertor,coupled to ablades of a fan.&the o/p of generator given to bridge rectifier and then a regulator IC of 6V, the o/p of this is taken to a nokia phone. but obtained no charging.what could be the reason.how can we rectify this problem.can anyone help us.

What is the voltage of the battery, and have you measured the votage and current you are actually getting from the generator?

yes we measured and it was 12V and 30mA from the output of generator.we used a nokia phone whose battery is 3.7V
