Why is a Fuse striped ?

3/4 inch glass fuse , 3.15 amp 250 volt , striped like a resistor , Orange - lt.brown - red - yellow.

Why is it striped ?

This may seem like a dumb question , I D K .

Thanks! but I could not find the same configuration of stripes.

I am pretty sure it means it is a fast (F) and the colors mean the same as the legend on the fuse end.

3.15 amp .
