Hi there guys, I need some help in selecting the correct device for my project.

I am goin to make a foot switch that controls an electric motor (12v automotive windscreen wiper motor) using 2 switches and relays to allow me to reverse direction of the motor by pressing the appropriate switch.

However I also want to be able to control the speed of the motor. I read about PWM’s being better than a rheostat for this purpose. I have found a couple on Ebay but I am unsure of which is best for my needs. (see link below)

I don’t yet have the motor, but I want to know how to calculate the value of PWM I require?

Any help on this would be great.

Thanks in advance.
Stevo.
