Hello Im new here this is a pretty cool forum. Im wanting to make a simple beam robot called a symet and it calls for a solar cell that supplies at least 3 volts. I have looked every where around my area and online too and can't find any:mad: . If anyone knows where I could find some please let me in on the secret.
Thanks for any help
Bobby

Try GOOGLE search engine, there are more online...

You can get solar cells cheap from yard lights. Places like Big Lots and Dollar Stores get them often for under $5, or if your neighbor...

I just got two LED spotlights from Big Lots this morning, $8 each. Kind of pitiful, two 5mm LEDs, and not very bright at that. But was easy to upgrade, and look good. Replaced the puny leds with 4 10mm 10,000 mcd LEDs. Got a surprise when I check the batteries, single AA NiCad 600 mah, but room for a second one (needed to add a spring and a wire). Now they have two 1850 mah in parallel.

thanks for the info thats what I needed i can finally get going on that project. Ill be on the look out for those solar yard lights
