i want to drive a small 5.3W to 7W appliance 230v

what value of triac should i use. is there any other way without triac and relay

this is a timer.

Try with MOC3041 optotriac. It is designed for zerocross switching with triac, but the enabled dissipation 150mW, and You need only about 30mA.

actually i used BT134 .
i didnt isolate it using optoisolator

is it enough to useMOC3041 or we have to connect a triac to it
the cost of moc type is high

You should also use 2N6075A or B from ON semi in smaller package (TO225AA) and with sensitive gate, but - i mean - the optotriac also can work without another triac for 7W load.

hai sebi

what i saw in the data sheet of 2N6073 TRIAC is it can be directly connected to a CMOS circuit .shall i use it .

also is there a possibility to use transistor instead of triac
