What to think of that ? PbSO₄ charging

Total BS. If you routinely re-charge to >16V, your battery will be dead in about 4 months... (grid oxidized away). The blogger totally misses that car batteries are different now than they were in 1920.

otoh, a once-a-year Equalization charge (constant-current, so the terminal voltage will exceed 16V for a short while) will do wonders for improving the longevity of flooded-cell automotive starting batteries; not so much for SLAs, which do not tolerate overcharge.

Yes, utterly rubbish webpage - is anything on it even remotely true?.

It claims batteries ending up in landfill, they have been seriously recycled for MANY decades - probably longer than most of have been alive.
 
there's mentioned the Charging Voltage Nominal: 12V or 15.7V -- as i recall the value 15.7V been printed on one of the batteries for end of charge voltage (while many manufacturers don't print the relevant tech. specs on their products)
the same provider has Voltage Charging Voltage Nominal: 12V, 13.6V, 14.4V, 14.7V or 15.7V on another model

yet another : Recond (recovery) improves deeply discharged and severely sulfatised batteries. For large batteries only. Indicator returns to large battery mode when cycle is completed. Use once a year or when your battery has been ??? fully discharged ???. 15.7VDC max 1.5A, recommended battery capacity 30-120Ah

so as i get normally the 14.7V shouldn't be exceeded ?? looks the answers're here as accordance with battery type
