I love my new 22" 1920x1080 monitor, it's great for watching films and even publishing as it will display a whole page of A4 to scale in landscape.
I have to be careful when editing schematics and try to keep the size as small as possible in case others don't have such a large display.
EDIT 1:
If it's not listed above, just select the nearest one and post your exact resolution. I would've like to have had more options but the forum software restricts it to a maximum of ten.
EDIT 2:
or the last option, I forgot to put the Y resolution in, I meant ≥1920x1080.
You can never have enough screen space. I'm at 1680x1050 on a 23" monitor but if I built a new machine I'd go for a dual head video card and twin monitors.

hi,
I'm using 1680*1050 22inch wide screen, with multiple monitor graphics card.
I have an external USB module for a 19inch second monitor, which is useful for some work, but I prefer the have my second PC via a USB link to my primary PC.
Personally I dont mind what resolution someone posts in.
..no, no my pc is not that bad ;-) , it's a 3yr old P4 on 845G chipset. Problem is with the 15" samsung monitor, the motherboard supports only two display resolutions for that -800x600(best) and 1024x768(good).
Maximum 60Hz refresh rate at 1024x768 so the screen flickers and I stick on the other mode. Syncmaster591s was one of the best and top selling 15" crt at that time -just prior to the market flooded with the LCD's.

It sounds like you have a problem with the driver, my old monitor can do 1280x1024 but it's restricted to 60Hz which as you say is horrible so I use 1152x884.
You posted some weird resolutions. I have a standard 1440x900 LCD and you didn't list it yet you posted 600x600 and other odd ones. I'm quiet happy with 1440x900, though sometimes I do wish for a little more screen real estate, not so much yet as to clutter up my desk with another monitor though.
Odd that you've never seen it as a native resolution, it's extremely common in 19 inch displays. At any rate the exact resolution is completely irrelevant. What you need to look for is aspect ratio and equivalent DPI for the screen size.
According to a DPI calculator, my monitor is at juuuust under 90DPI at 89.4
Erics monitor is at 86.14
I personally want one that's 100DPI or more with a properly scaled interface on at minimum of a 8x11 inch screen. Anything more than that you'd probably be better off with multiple monitors, but again that depends on your viewing distance.
Now that I've gotten used to ~16:9 5:4 monitors make me feel claustrophobic, although two side to side might be nice like your setup.I've been thinking about getting one of these. ThinkGeek :: Mimo Mini USB Monitor
for a while, just for an information display, and they have touch enabled version as well.
Boncuk, you should always run the monitor in it's native resolution, if you're having trouble reading things you adjust the font and icon scaling, not the resolution.
I have a SyncMaster940n as the main screen and a LG Flatron M1917A, which also has a TV tuner, as my side screen.
The TV function is no longer used on the LG though, since I have recently mounted a 32" Toshiba above both PC screens.
The Toshiba has a PC input, along with a plethora of others, but that would mean adding another video card and I don't really need that much screen area.
Sob! You have a 23" screen. Really? Lucky dog!
Yeah, I make do with a 19 incher, no name, running 1024x768. It's OK. When I hit 55 I had to get two pairs of glasses, one for driving and one for monitor work. Otherwise I'd have to do 640x480 or something. As it is I use IE8 because of the zoom feature. When some punk produces an itsybitsy page meant for people with 20/20 at all distances I just bump up the magnification factor to 125 or 150%. Still, since I do a lot of documentation work, a two-page monitor would be nice. *sigh* As soon as GOOD 23" models come down to under $150, I'll start hinting loudly...
