What is the difference between the A144 & C144 Transistors?

With out looking up the data sheets;
A144 is a 2SA144
C144 is a 2SC144
The A and C indicates NPN or PNP.
 
yeah to expand on that you will find
2SAxxxx and 2SBxxxx are PNP
and 2SCxxxx and 2SDxxxx are NPN transistors

one of those littlethings you learn and remember over the years ;)
