Next device I'm working on is a basic I/O & Serial board that can support either an Arduino, Raspberry Pi or PIC.

Brief specs.
4 Relays
4 Opto inputs
1 RS232/422/485
1 XBee socket
1 EEPROM (optional)

up to to four units can be expanded via 10pin ribbon cable (I2C).

MPU sockets for PDIP ATmega328P & PIC18F26K20 or 26pin header to Raspberry Pi
header for USB to TTL (Arduino mode or PIC bootloader)

Comments welcome.

Hi Bill,

Welcome back. No comments yet but I'm looking forward to following this project.

Mike.

Hi Mike, I've been lurking here. :)

Actually it's a fairly simple board, I had a PCF8575 in the almost finished schematic until (today) I discovered the SC16IS750 (8bit expander & UART via SPI/I2C) nice.
