Hi, I'm trying to repair my LG L1933TR-SF LCD monitor. It has a blown capacitor and I'm not too familiar with electronics so I'm trying to figure out what to buy so my friend can repair it. I found a bunch of numbers and letters written on the side of the capacitor.
Umm. Do you mean 1000µF Cause 1000F is a physical impossibility =)
You answered your own question really. It's a 1000µF 16 volt capacitor, more than likely Aluminum Electrolytic with radial leads (two wires out of one end)
A larger voltage rating on the capacitor will improve reliability if you can fit it in. That type of capacitor is polarised, meaning that you have to fit it the right way round.
