WARNING - Failed to RESET board

I am using PICDEM software to load a program into the PIC. Once I load the hex file and click on "PRogram device", I get the messages:
MESSAGE - Programming FLASH Completed
MESSAGE - Erasing and Programming FLASH...

Then I click on "Execute" and I get the following message:
WARNING - Failed to RESET board

Can anyone tell me what the problem is??
