We were watching the TV and a loud snap or pop and we lost everything. No Power, nothing. Tried to unplug and plug back in and still nothing. Anyone heard of this happening and would it most likely be Power Supply baord?

Based on the way you describe it, most likely.

Yup, probably the PSU. If you were to open it up it would probably be pretty obvious which part(s) blew up. Could be something as simple as a capacitor popping, in which you could replace it and the TV would probably start working again.

On the other hand, one part could have died, causing multiple others to fail. In that case, I would replace the whole PSU.

[/FONT]Semiconductors (transistors, diodes etc...) tend to go BOOM the most.

LOL I blew a crater in a small chip before:eek:, found small shards of plastic embedded in the wall!:p
