Visual Radio on cell phones FM receiver???

I've never experienced the visual radio. I just found this function on my cell phone. But here, it is not supporting coz of no visual radio stations. What is it? Visual radio means like TV??? Ha ha tell me some basic...

Search in wikipedia for RDS(Radio Data System). There may be a very few radio stations use this function in a locality..

All FM stations (there are many of them) in my City in Canada use RDS to show what song and who sings it on my car radio.
The radio has a digital display of text.
