i have a reciever that is 72.9MHz and i want to change it to 216.0125MHz. is this possible? the vairiable capacitor is missing.

That's a large change!, you would have to change the front end tuned cicuits, and the local oscillator frequency - it's VERY likely you would have to increase the number of multiplier stages in the LO as well. With such a large increase in frequency you might need to change the front end transistors?.
