Motor frame type? You mention absolutely nothing? How can anyone begin to suggest a speed sensor with no description or data sheet for the motor?

Oh wait, go buy this sensor. Oh wait, not a NEMA C Face motor? Sorry, that won't fit.

You really need to provide much, much more information.

DC voltage ...........0.........to 180 v. d.c
interface.................PIC
 
For a simple speed pickup maybe a photo sensor configured reflective with a small reflective tape strip on the shaft? If you have access to a gear drive maybe a magnetic sensor?
