Using ss56 instead of ss34

Hi.
Im new with electronics, sorry if my question is super simple or nonsense but anyways.
I have an all in one sound system and the ss34 diode better known as 1n5822 is damaged.
Where I live I can only found the ss56 60v/5A, so I wonder if I can replace the ss34 with the ss56, even though the ss34 is 40v/3A and the ss56 is 60V/5A.

The ss56 is stronger than the original ss34 but I did not check their sizes.
How will you unsolder to remove the original tiny part and how will you solder in the new part?

I've seen some videos of people replacing this type of diode (smd, i think that's what they're called) with a normal soldering iron so I was thinking to try to do the same and hopefully do it in a decent way.
