using function generator for leds

Can anyone tell me how to connect up a led with function generator and my led will flash when I increase or decrease my freq.I just need a very simple circuit.pls help

u can directly connect the led to the o/p of standard fn gen tru a resistor .

fn gen ----R---->|----gnd

may be u can use a res value of ~1k .

It is better to connect an led thru a buffer .. that can made by using a transistor .
