Using Full Spectrum LED's

I'm a complete novice as far as electronics go but I have been having a lot of fun learning all about this really interesting field. I would like some advice on how to use full spectrum LED's and I haven't had any luck finding out how to use them from the distributor. (???)

What I would like to know is, is it possible to change and control the color output of the LED by changing current passing through the lamp or just how can I use these lights to their best advantage.

Any help at all on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
G

Hmm, well there is this , found it with Google.
Pulse width modulation with a PIC is another idea.
