Useful/Worthwhile Certifications To Have

This month I figured I go back and renew my Ham Radio License, and probably upgrade soon after. I figured it would probably be helpful to go after some other certs as well. So my questions are...

1. What are some useful certification to have as an Electrical Engineer ?

2. What sub-fields do they apply to? (Building Codes, Circuit Design, Computers, Embedded, RF, Government/Defense, etc.)

3. Is there an international equivalent to the FE/EIT exam?

4. Got any links?
