usb port interfacing

Hi there ...

I wana to build a device that makes me able to turn on and off a led connected to pc through usb port.

any one can help me do this ??

The outer pins of the USB connector are supply voltage.

Pin1=+5VDC, pin2=data-, pin3=data+, pin4=ground.

Connect the load only to the outer pins. Use a 180Ω current limiting resistor for the LED.

thanx to your reply, but I want to be able to turn on and turn off the LED through a programe that written in vb6.

I mean "controlling the USB port".
