I am trying to use the DS3502 (datasheet) with LM317 in order to make Digital Voltage Control (range 3-14V, 1,5A, control precision - 7bit or more)
My problem is that i don't quite get how the DS3502 work, I do understand the general idea behind PoT, however i have no idea what pin 9 V+ is used for and how should i connect it in my application.
Function description from datasheet "Wiper Bias Voltage" doesn't really tell me much, so I'd really appreciate any help
