sorry about the datasheet, but i could info you how those devices works,
the MA40L1S is your sonic sender that can be driven by a 555 timer and it sends out a frequency of 40khz, while the MA40L1R is the sonic receiver sensor in which its output must be amplified to a level about equal to the emmitance for it to activate whatever alarm system is used.
