hey guys im trying to turn on a PLC input from my 5V pic.. my first idea was to use a realy but the PIC cannot drive a relay aswell.. so is there any way i can use a transistor to turn on the PLC.. would current sourcing be a problem

What voltage swing does the PLC require?

How much current do you have to source to the PLC input to call it a "1"?

How much current do you have to sink from the PLC input to call it a "0"?
