Trying to find out what this IC does

I was going through some older (but not ancient ) chips that I have, and I found the following chip.

STC 10F04 35I-PDIP40

I don't remember where it came from, and after searching the web, I can't seem to locate a datasheet or even an explanation of what this chip is for.

It's a 40 pin plastic dual in-line package.

Any help would be appreciated... thanks!

The STC 10F04 40PDIP is an 8051 micro processor... Datasheet

i have an IC on my CPU but it's not just a CPU but specially made for fuel dispenser panel board and capable of performing different task WINBOND W78E52B please can i know the full function through the preset board?

Winbond are primarily ram chips.... But that one is a micro processor w78e52b.pdf .... same as above..
