Trim pot specs. need to better understand tolerance

If looking at a 10K trimmer, the spec only indicates 30%, is this typically a +/-30% adjustment or something else?

A 10k trimmer might measure 13k. +30%
The adjustment is likely 0 to 100%.

You should try not to use the absolute value of a trimpot, but rather a ratio as that is much more precise. Circuits can normally be reconfigured to use a ratio instead of the absolute value.
