Treadmill Motor Control Board

We have a treadmill that was stored in the garage on its side during a house reno project.

We brought it back inside, put the arms/top back on and tried to start it. The incline worked, but not the belt. Various research and a drill battery later, we diagnosed it as a bad motor control board. We replaced that, and the belt worked again. Interestingly enough, there was no 3 beeps when you start it like it used to have (not sure if this is important). 10 minutes into its debut workout, it has resulted in the same problem. The belt no longer moves (though like before the treadmill thinks it is moving. Counts mileage and shows changes in speed when buttons are pressed). But the incline is fine. There arent any burn marks on the old/new control board. Any ideas? Nordictrack x5i.

What is the model no. on the motor board?

Can you tell if the motor is still running? Could it be the drive train from the motor to the belt?

So interesting bit of news, I just turned it on while laying on its side to see if I can hear the motor, and the belt moves now. Any thoughts now that this happened? I can only surmise that if I stand it up and start using it again it would stop again.

Could be friction. If the pulley/roller etc. on the motor shaft has come loose - set screw vibrated loose - then the motor may be turning and triggering the speed sensor etc but not driving the belt. Are you able to dismantle it to check that everything is tight?

There may be an adjustment to keep the belt centered on the rollers. If the belt moves off to one side, it would bind up causing extra load on the motor. Laying on its side may have relieved that friction. ???
